Golden, Flaky & Filled with Creamy Chicken Goodness
These homemade Chicken Puff Pastries are irresistibly crispy on the outside and rich, creamy on the inside. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or light meal, they’re easy to prepare and guaranteed to disappear fast!
🛒 Ingredients
* 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
* 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
* 1 small onion, finely diced
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 2 tbsp butter
* 2 tbsp flour
* 1 cup milk
* ½ cup grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese
* Salt & black pepper to taste
* 1 tsp paprika
* 1 tsp dried parsley
* 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Sauté the onion and garlic in butter until soft, then stir in the flour.
2. Gradually add the milk, whisking until a smooth, creamy sauce forms.
3. Mix in the shredded chicken, cheese, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper. Let the filling cool.
4. Cut the puff pastry into circles, place a spoonful of filling in the center, cover with another pastry circle, and seal the edges.
5. Brush with beaten egg and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20–25 minutes, or until puffed and beautifully golden.
