🛒 Ingredients

For the Crispy Fish

* 1 cup all-purpose flour

* 1 tsp paprika

* 1 tsp garlic powder

* ½ tsp onion powder

* ½ tsp salt

* ½ tsp black pepper

* 1 egg

* ½ cup milk

* Vegetable oil, for frying

For the Creamy Cajun Shrimp

* 1 lb (500 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

* 2 tbsp butter

* 4 garlic cloves, minced

* 1 cup heavy cream

* ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

* 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning

* ½ tsp paprika

* ½ tsp black pepper

* ½ tsp salt

* 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Fish Coating

In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk until smooth.

2️⃣ Fry the Fish Fillets

Dip each fish fillet into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with the seasoned flour.

Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C) and fry the fillets until golden brown and crispy, about 4–5 minutes per side.

Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil.

3️⃣ Cook the Shrimp

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes, or until pink and tender.

4️⃣ Make the Creamy Cajun Sauce

Pour in the heavy cream and stir well.

Add Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Simmer gently for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce becomes thick, creamy, and velvety.

Finish with fresh parsley.

5️⃣ Serve

Spoon the creamy Cajun shrimp into a serving dish.

Arrange the crispy fish fillets alongside or on top.

Serve immediately with steamed rice, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or warm crusty bread.

💡 Pro Tips

✔️ Do not overcook the shrimp—they only need a few minutes to stay juicy and tender.

✔️ Freshly grated Parmesan melts more smoothly into the sauce.

✔️ For extra crispy fish, let the coated fillets rest for 5 minutes before frying.

✔️ Add a pinch of cayenne pepper if you enjoy extra heat.

✔️ Garnish with extra parsley and lemon wedges for a fresh finish.

😍 The Result

Perfectly crispy fish paired with succulent shrimp swimming in a creamy Cajun-Parmesan sauce. Every bite delivers bold Southern flavors, rich textures, and pure comfort-food satisfaction.
